Just thought i'd join up to say hello, I have been cycling for over two years now, commute to work everyday on my montague paratrooper xl folding bike, raking up just over 80 miles a week. Last year I wanted to go further at the weekends, so brought a Carrea TDF bike as it was like the budgie cheep!!. Seem to be doing well on it, my average speed for 40 miles is 17.6 mph and have knocked the time down from 2 and half hrs to now just shy over 2hrs, whichever route i take it always starts off below sea level and then 3 miles in a lovely hill climb to just over 330 ft, which so far (touch wood) never had to walk up. just brought a blackburn delphi computer of ebay to monitor cadence and heart, so hopefully should start improving, looking at doing more miles already mapped out a 57 miler and currently in two minds to do a 100 mile sportive ive seen in september?. Always seem to cycle on my own, although one chap last saturday did ride 20miles with me taking it in turns being in front which probably helped both of us. Already spotted the next bike i want to purchase but need to rob a bank or find some treasure to pay for it!!
Sorry its not me it's the bike ;o)
