After months of indecision i have finally coughed up the cash for my first road bike and i can barely wait to hit the tarmac.
I feel quite fortunate because my LBS only had one 2011 CAAD8 105 available and it was in my size (51) but while the guy was unboxing it we noticed a small chip in the paintwork and i thought to my self "just my luck"............... anyhow things turned out better than i expected because i get to ride the chipped frame for a few weeks.
Im a total novice so the fact that i get to ride around on a frame that is going to be wrote off is a stroke of luck. im bound to have a clipless pedal incident in the first couple of weeks.
Sorry if this is a meaningless post but i had to vent my excitement somehow, my better half isn't the slightest bit interested.
why didn't i do this years ago..................

Perfect time of year to get cycling 8)
So are they going to replace the frame?0 -
No need to apologize for ' a meaningless post'. There would be a whole lot of apologizing to do on here if that were the case! I would probably refrain from using the term 'hitting the tarmac' though. I do know exactly what you mean by not doing it years ago, great isn't it? You have got yourself a good first bike too. Happy cycling. And remember the aim is to not hit the tarmac!0

Chipped Frame? Surely a massive reduction in price and a £3 touch up stick from Halfruads ?? Thats what i'd do anyhow0
