i wish to take my bike to wales as i am studying over there in PHECTA ambulance college what are the cycling routes like there i will be spending just over a week there and wish to do some training any advice cheers folks

    If you like hills the college is in the right place for you. I'd start off with a loop from Treherbert Station or thereabouts, North up Rhigos Road, then east to Aberdare, south west up Maerdy to Porth and the head back through Treorchy - about 50km.

    A longer loop would be to do the Rhigos but carry on north to Penderyn, head back on A470, west on A465 and back up the Rhigos and back to base.


    Recommended for daylight hours.
