    ........and do you say "mickstee" or "mikst" as I've heard both pronounciations and don't whish to appear ignorant when it comes up in polite conversation next time I'm at a garden party. :D

    I say "mickstee", but what do I know. Find a francophone for the correct answer methinks.

    I started with mickstee (subconciously seemed to be rhyming it with fixie) but think I'm tending toward mikst now. Maybe 'cause I ride fikst, innit.

    Meekst for the proper French pronunciation. Mixty if you're a yank. They are completely inconsistent about this sort of thing: a 'fillay' of fish? It's fillET FFS.

    Never trust a yank for pronounciation of words.

    It weighs nothing - it's a vapourcycle. It never infact existed at all. Just part of LiTs attempt to get us believing that she cycles through hazy, soft focus country lanes wearing flowery frocks with the sun glinting through her hair - a bit like a 1970s flake advert on a bicycle :lol:

    (pics LiT - that's an order!)

    Not true, I've seen it and it is rather nice (in a 1970s, Flake advert kind of way).

    Pics to appear in Cycle Active magazine, I think

    I'm beginning to think that it's all some elaborate joke at mine and Buns' expense. Mind you I've been sharing much of the same route as DDD for a good couple of years and still not seen him.

    I know, I want to upgrade the bar tape before taking pics - it's currently very cheap stuff and is already discoloured! I also have a very girly new pannier en-route...

    And it's meekst, if you're feeling froggy, or mixed if not. Mikstee is just bizarre!

    On the pronunciation front I've also come across 'panyays' amongst many others.

    Weight - not that light but considerably lighter than it was with the steel wheels on it.

    Size - Large I think, not sure about that. And in a past life it was a Raleigh Romana.

    :lol::lol::lol:

    Mixte = "Mixed Tea" Or "Mixed"

    In DDDglish that is.
    Food Chain number = 4
