Boardman Sizing Dilema Med or Large

Well I have a dilemma...
Im 6.0ft, have an inside leg of 33"

I like the Boardman carbon team 2010, and the deals are cracking for the Mediums. But there are no large bike left.

Do you reckon the bike will fit? The 2011 bike just doesn't look the same bike, although large bike are plenty abound.

Any 6ft people riding a medium? How does it feel? I was thinking on the Med and extending the stem a bit?

Any Advice
Cheers
Andy

youd need a large for decent fit.

I am on a Team and the same height and leg as you and I have XL frame, although I could have easily managed on a L, I think if you get M you may regret it

I'm 5'11" with 32" inside leg. My medium is a perfect fit.

I think you should try a medium and look at fitting a 10mm longer stem, if needed.

There are a few fitting programmes on the web that may help. You measure your body and they give you target bike tube/reach sizes.

I'm the same height and inside leg as you and I had a similar problem when I bought my Boardman Road Comp. I tried both the medium and large for fit and the medium felt tiny once I'd sat on it.
I eventually bought a large which I thought was too big at first but after getting a few miles in on it it's fair to say that it's about perfect size-wise.

You need a large. If your new to road bikes, a medium might feel more comfortable at first but as said previously, once your body adjusts, a large will be a much better fit after a few rides.

Its a tough one, i dont want to get a grand bike that doesnt fit. But i can get a 2010 med team carbon for 999 with Sram rival or a 2011Team large alloy with shimano lard 105 for 999.

    Not really the same bike.

Ill go tomorrow to try it out. Its a shame i just missed the offers on the large 2010 range.

    Bugger!

I'm 6ft with 32" inside leg and got the large - although didn't try the medium. Has taken me a few rides to get used to it and tweak saddle height etc, but it feels right.

AS mentioed, might be worth trying a medium to see how it feels - although Halfords generally don't allow test rides

If you phone your local Halfords they will check UK stock and get you one in from elsewhere. My local store (North Yorkshire,) got mine sent in from a branch in Lincolnshire; it arrived in less than a week - The 2010 Carbon is a lovely bike IMHO!

Yes i suspect it wont fit. Ill find out tonight.

If its no good then ill switch my sights to a Cube Atempt / Agree if i can stretch it.

The LBS is a stockist and i should be able to use my voucher there.

    But now compact or triple.

Well decided that the bike is the right size (with a slightly longer stem). I tried the large and it seems like a stretch for reach (so id have to reduce the stem on that).

Im probablies inbetween both med and large but id prbably go smaller frame.

The only things in my mind is its low so could be a pain on a 100miler (its certainly not relaxed) and its very similar to my current setup so why do i need it?

The only thing on the large it gives more scope for raising the stem.

But i want the carbon bling!

    Descisons...

check out the buying section. there is a brand new medium for £875. bargain.
Im 6' tall with longish legs i ride a large with a 100mm stem and its a perfect fit. your legs are shorter than mine so you must be longer torso, but your arms could possibly be shorter in proportion to your legs so cancelling out the extra reach.
