Trying to decide which of these two races on 23rd April would be better for a race debut.

Sandie Radford is a 50km TLI race and I understand operates a handicapping system so the slowest go first. Compared to a 4th Cat race for 40mins + 3 laps at the Mountbatten Centre, Portsmouth.

Any input or suggested factors to consider when deciding would be most welcome. Thanks a lot.

Sandie Radford all the way. It's a great race and you don't get many chances to race around nice courses. There's tonnes of racing at Mountbatten.

Sandie Radford is a good challenge, I'd say fairly hilly with a tough finish line on a steep section. Last year I was in the start group and we got a fair gap from the main bunch, so it worked out quite well. Seemed to be well marshalled too. All in all I'd recommend it!

Thanks Gents. Sounds like it's time to head for the hills!
