BB for control tech shield chainset

Wondering if anyone can help? I fitted a control tech shield compact chainset to my bike at the end of last summer. I used the bottom bracket that came with it- to be honest it wasn't up to much & felt pretty rough even though it was brand new. Have done around 500 miles on it and theres now a couple of mm play in the damn thing. Finding it difficult to find out what other compatable BB I could use- wondering if anyone has come across this before or knows of any other decent BB the chainset is compatable with- have a Mega Exo that looks very similar and is a much better piece of kit but not sure if it will work with the chainset?

    If the spindle is same diameter each end then it's probably HT2 or Megaexo - your LBS should be able to advise.
    Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
