    Good stuff.

I looked at the Acid, slipped through the LTDs and settled on the Reaction. I finally managed to liberate it from the LBS over the weekend.

They seem like good bikes with a high(ish) spec for the price.

As the Reaction has a lightweight frame and long(ish) wheelbase it's is more of a trail bike rather than all terrain bike but it picks up speed quickly, climbs well and is fairly sure footed over the rough stuff.

  • Quite the funky colour there man! What's the weight like on those?
  • Catalogue says it all comes in at 12.8 kg. So not bad for the price. Think the reaction is just over 10kg.

The carbon reaction is 10.?, my aluminium version is just over 11. It feels lighter on the road though.

  • Depends which u got. Think they are 10.3 up to 11.3 ish

I'm a great fan of the red and white or blue and white colour schemes but this is fantastic!
  • Only compromise is the forks in alot of peoples eyes. But worth bearing with for a while before upgrading if you decided to.

Ye pedals ain't brill. Was going to try spds but I'm so bloody nervy and rubbish off road at the mo that I might stick with flats for a bit. Will see

12.8kg in the catalogue??? My brother's acid comes in a lot closer to the 14kg mark

Manufacturers never tell you to what standards their products are weighed or how accurate they are, it looks better if they're lighter obviously. That said my brothers is 2010, yours will probably be a couple of hundred grams lighter than his with the spec changes, but IIRC when he bought his the claimed weight was still 12.8kg.

Anyway that's beside the point, nice looking bike you've got there. I've had a few plays on the brothers, other than the forks (and stock pedals) which seem the weak point it's a fun bike to ride.
