Hi,
I am just about to order a rear an 8 Spd cassette, but not sure which number to order and does it really matter that much? I have the choice of 11-28, 11-30, 11-32. I mostly do wooded single track, fairly level with just a few hills.

Thanks in advance

    what do you have now?

do you want to change your low gear?

What do you mean, change my low gear? I dont really use it that much unless it is really steep. Is the higher the number the lower the gear i can get? (if that makes sense)

Yes, count the teeth on the largest sprocket, if you want lower gearing get bigger, higher get smaller, or happy with what you have the same.
