Formula RX Brakes Question

Ok just got my bike serviced for first time and transporting it home had to take the front wheel of, am guessing in tranist the front brakes got pulled while moving in the back of my car so they seem to be very tight and the front whhel doesn't spin freely now when I fitted it again, any easy tips what to do to release the brake pads again that a complete newbie could manage?

    remove wheel put something clean between the pads and push them home. re fit wheel and reset the pads.

    use the pads spacers next time.
