Evans seem to be doing some good deals with 2009 BMC Pro Machine frames...anyway my current frame is cracked and need a new top frame till my Colnago arrives in 3-6 months time then I'll probably resell (BMC) it.
BMC geometry looks really weird, would I be a 55cm (56TT) or 57cm (57.5TT) I'm stuck in between. My current setup is traditional 58cm (56.5TT). I run a 120mm stem usually.
Someone mentioned to me BMC come up big? I'm 6 foot (182cm) if this helps.
Anyway had experience with BMC sizing?......My normal setup is old school

Yes, my 2009 Pro Machine top tube dimension is unusually long for its frame sizing. So you might well prefer to move down a size, rather than up.

I rode a standard 58cm Tarmac sl2 last season, and ride a pro machine 57cm this season, im 6,2", set up is perfect for me.0

BMC top tube is longer than most other manufacturers for given size - I think that that you would be more suited to the 55cm.
I am 6ft 1 and am considering selling my 57cm Pro Machine because I find it slightly long in the top tube
Nice bike mind0 -
see im 6'3 and got a 59 i felt a little cramped on the lower size so i suppose it just depends on what you like!0

Six foot with a 55cm is perfect for meColnago C60 SRAM eTap, Colnago C40, Milani 107E, BMC Pro Machine, Trek Madone, Viner Gladius,

Tested my new 2010 BMC Pro Machine today, 55cm. The bike is stiff and very responsive, very good for climbing. I would say an all rounder, excellent with everything. Very comfortable as well. Certainly it's not an exciting bike, but exciting enough! A perfect bike for anyone.
The geometry.....is not ideal for me I chose the 55cm because BMC's website says rider height 180-185cm I'm 182 (6 foot). With my height I'm running a 13cm stem it fits well enough. Once my C59 arrives I'll sell this BMC or keep it as a 2nd bike (pity my first bike chain stay cracked, but I'm pleased with the BMC). The sizes are terrible, like Look frames. In fact the sizes these days L, XL etc. I wouldn't go for. Spend some money on a Colnago EPS or C59 maybe something like a Time or Casati and have the bike setup correctly. Get a bike lugged! if you can afford it.
Overall the BMC is a great bike apart from the sizing, if you 6 foot or there round about, try another bike! BMC from my short test is a great bike for everything but nothing special. 4 out of 5 stars!0
