This post is some idea for people think of looking for new bike or just interested

well after only one week, my new CANYON nerve AM has arrived, impressions fantastic the model i have is the 6.0 version cost £1585 spec wise check out canyons website and like the latest moutain bike magazines say top notch value for money

went to work yesterday standard 8 mile road/canal path lock everything out rode fine

today just got back from LLANDEGLA lost for words bearing in mind i have still got my SCOTT GENIUS MC 30 2009 model (now on ebay !!) the canyon was miles better more stable the fork and shock just worked a dream normaly at LLANDEGLA i dont go mad but today i was doing stuff that i tried on my scott and also my mates specialized stumpy which i he paid £2800 for, the canyon was great.

if your after a new bike and want to pay £1600-2000 you would not be dissapointed with CANYON just forks and shock would cost nearly a £1000

fox 32 TALAS RL 110-140 MM FOX FLOAT RP2 (BOOST VALVE) dt swiss wheels X9 CHAINSET list goes on

few people asked about sizing well canyon have a really good sizing tool also they offer 30 day money back if not right

im 5'6 so small frame which is 16.5 im 29 inch inside leg and when im stood over upper tube its about say 1.5' near base of the lads!!!!!

Loving the bike, we seriously need to see more canyons on here... looking at getting a Grand Canyon CF frameset. Framesets are a bit pricey though, I think it would be worth it simply buying the bike outright :)

Sorry if I'm hijacking your thread but I was looking to get the Nerve AM as I come from DH and am looking or a more all mountain bike that can still do a bit of DH and still pedal ok at trail centres etc......

Anyone know of anyone with a Strive?

I've ordered one on the back of all the good reveiws the Nerve gets and I figured if they got that right then I can't imagine them going far wrong with an Enduro bike.

The angles and the spec looks good for the money so I will be getting it but I was hoping someone else would have purchased it by now....

Hope to see more Canyons on the trails- Awesome bikes at awesome prices......

    Hi Stewart

I have just ordered one of these. Please can you tell me if your forks were changed or if you have put incorrect info in your post.

The website says that the AM 6.0 comes with a 32 150mm FIT talas, not the regular 140mm you mentioned ??

    Thanks

    Got mine ....

Took it for a quick spin today ... very tasty. I had a Trek EX8 (before this Yeti 575 & Orange 5) before and its alot more nimble and quicker steering, feels a little shorter too.

Not sure why but the rear RP2 seems to work better ? It almost identicle looking to the Trek but feels alot more plusher and pedals better.

Great bike, already glad I purchased it.. happy days

i just ordered an AM 7. almost ordered the 8 but i had heard a few bad reviews about the reverb seat post and i think the xtr on an AM is a bit overkill. i really like the XT components anyway, just a pity the brakes aren't XT swell. In my opinion far better than any brakes avid make.

The fork on the 8 would have been good but i don't play with the tuning enough to warrant paying the extra.

any ride reports going around yet. Pictures?
