    Flat and quick!!!
  • Alright racing that.....
Until the ticket collectors came to the front on the final lap floutng the white lines.
Battered myself trying to get away but nowt was going to stick at those speeds on such a flat circuit.
Still a good workout and came away wheezing with salts caked on me eyelids.

Does anyone know who the two french lads riding for brooks cycles were ? Pair of them were superb riders, talk about being comfortable at close quarters.

Hats off to Mr Ainsworth and the officials for a good safe event.

Agreed - good safe race - well marshalled and very well run! But then i would say that :)

I hadnt appreciated that the final, finish line, straight was effectively closed to traffic other wise I would have been all over the right hand side like everyone else!

Dunno who the Brooks boys were.

Cant help but think the course could have done with a hill just to split the field up a bit!

I got into the final break, was a bit gutted we got caught! I thought we were away for a minute.

I agree, a good event and they even ordered nice weather. 8) . I think its going to join my 2012 calender.

That would have been the one that hovered and got caught just before the bell ? It was always in sight and the only reason anything got more than 20 seconds was few workshy riders in there doing things that get me goat... ( pinning riders on the front etc )

The only way anything was going to get away there was if 10+ riders went at it and worked together and some numpty missed a wheel to let it go...

    It was after the bell.

Its not a course that suits breaks, but I knew that come the sprint I would be nowhere, thus it was worth a dig.

Apparently a few riders did try to bridge but only succeeded in towing the pack up.
