Brake Rub

Hi guys,
I've been having an "unusual" problem with my bike ever since I had to remove my rear wheel to fix a puncture.
Basically, ever since I repaired the puncture, I seem to be getting what I think is brake rub whenever I put pressure on the pedals (e.g. when taking off from traffic lights, or getting out of the saddle). It's almost as if the wheel is "flexing" under pressure...
The wheel is perfectly true, and seated in the centre of the two pads. If you spin the wheel by hand it doesn't hit the pads at all.
I'm a bit freaked out by this - does anyone have any suggestions?

sounds like the wheel, while centred might not be fully inserted in to the hangers, or the axle is looser than it should be allowing the chain to pull the chain side of the wheel forward when pressure is applied.
Simply I would remove and refit the wheel again ensuring the wheel axle sits fully in to the hangers and is tight enough
