paris roubaix?

hi there,

does the paris roubaix always follow the same route?

as many answers as possible please, yay or nay.

    No. They're always looking for new sections of cobbles. And some sections get too bad to use and need to be repaired. A copule of times in the 80s it didn't finish in the velodrome (building). The iconic Arenburg trench has only been their since 1968 and has missed out a couple of years. It doesn't even start in Paris these days (60km outside).

    Most of the classics switch about quite a bit. Milan-San Remo is probably the most faithful, although the finish has been lengthened so it doesn't finish on Via Roma (thereby making more sprinter friendly).

    (My housemate from Uni wrote a book called 'How Low Can You Go' which was basically a travelogue of the places where Ryanair et al actually land - it's really quite good)
