Hi all,

I've got a RS Reba Team. It's got a remote lockout.
A couple of problems. Firstly it wasn't very reliable when it did work and got stuck quite often. Second, it now doesn't lock out the fork at all.
So, I want to get rid of it and put a good old-fashioned lever on the top of the leg.
I have searched for this and found that it is possible but no actual guide or instructions.
Also, now that it doesn't lock out at all, does it need some more involved work to rectify the problem? I've read some stuff about an internal gate getting stuck or something? I've checked and it isn't something simple like the cable slipping, I've manually moved the blue disc as far as it will go and there is no lockout at all.

I hope all that makes sense and someone will have some idea what i'm going on about.
I'm not averse to having a go at these sort of things. It's how you learn after all.
Any pointers to guidance or instruction if you have experienced either lockout problems or you have replaced a remote lockout with a lever would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers in advance.

Apologies, I searched for ages with the search thing but didn't look through the FAQs.
Red swiss cheese thing? Sounds a bit confusing to me!

    Cheers.

It seems to be a fairly common complaint about Rebas. If you leave it you will probably find the travel reducing as oil gathers in the lower leg. Nice fork, otherwise.
