The general consensus on here seems to be that it is better value to get a whole new wheel, once you've paid for new spokes and got somebody to build it for you.
Page 2 of this forum has 2 threads about rim choices and trail wheel options.
Superstar do some good value, well reviewed stuff.
Merlin often do good value factory wheels.
For a bit more cash you can look at Mavics or for even more cash Stans.
Search the threads, there is loads of good advice if you look for it.
Totally depends on your budget.0 -
I have PM'd you.
Have one of these going spare, and build wheels

well im not looking for something for DH i just want a good strong wheel that will stand up to a few drops, jumps, rocks ect!! what would you advise from the mavic range??0 -
If you haven't tensioned your spokes since you bought the bike, could just be a few loose spokes. I straightened a buckled wheel today, first time, very interesting to have a play with spoke tensions. Took half an hour of adjusting, spoke key cost tenner. Job done.0
