Not going to happen, unless you want to take them to court and pay legal fees, just to win and get a measley £10. Or you could claim you had an accident and use injury lawerys 4 u. No win no fee. But seriously, save your time and money and get a good set of puncture resitant tyres, like the Continental Grand Prix 4 Season, they are b.e.a.utiful

This isn't spam by the way

Try cycling in Bucks, its goddam awful for pot holes. Actually I could'nt describe them as pot holes, they are more cave holes.

I got 2 within seconds, front and rear when I hit a pothole in Radyr, Cardiff. The roads are blinking terrible!

Not worth trying to claim. Hard to prove the Council are liable and very time consuming for the cost of 3 tubes.

There are parts of my club run where we've started calling 'road' rather than 'hole'. It's all part of the fun :x

I'll second the GP 4 Seasons suggestion though if you're looking for some tough year round tyres. That and putting more air in your tyres if you're pinch flatting (says the 70kg rider who pinch flatted at 110 psi last month... ).

+ 1 here as well.. If you don't report them they will ignore them - mind you TFL & Lambeth Council seem to be ignoring them despite me reporting several...

not sure about Conti 4 Season , my commuting tyre of choice is Schwalbe Durano Plus ( for 700x 23), strange name but great tyres.. None of em are 100% p proof though...
  • Bucks county council has alot of road in poor condition and a limited budget for repairs, so they prioritise with a policy to fill potholes 12 inches wide and 2inches deep. Roads in S Bucks are a shocker, but Bucks got 14 of the £100m emergency road repairs govt made available a few months ago, and I've seen some improvement on some A roads and busy town/village roads, but go a smidgeon off the most popular routes and its pitted potholed lousy surface in great patches, esp on corners & old repairs. And of course cars (all roads here are busy!) don't realise you're taking a line of tarmac with least damage and toot because they think you're taking up too much road. Grrr!
