Freeriding in Italy, Sauze, Bardonecchia etc

We are looking for a holiday with a difference having done the usual french places from Chamonix to Chatel, we decided to do Italy this year.
Having spoken to the guys at Alpi they have suggested to base in Sauze and then link to iothers when necessary.
Only problem is I cant find any chalets for summer hire. We have a mixed group of 8 people so need 5 rooms ideally.
Has anyone been to Sauze and seen anywhere that is not hotels.
Our second week in a chalet in france is booked but I cant find anywhere in Italy
All sensible suggestions gratefully recieved.
