clothing size dilemma

so i have received the clothing i ordered with the bike on the cycle to work scheme but i have a dilemma over a top and shorts. the top is really nice, but its a team jersey and obviously designed to be a close fit. but if i returned and ordered the size up i think it would be too large in the chest. so should i just keep this one?

as for the shorts, they are endura fs260 pro bib shorts. they fit perfect apart from the silicon band at bottom of each leg which is very tight. problem with these is again i think the size up would be too big.

does anyone have these shorts? are they likely to stretch in use? or should i send them back and order next size up?

thanks for any help

Not necessarily; if there's any fat there, then you might see some toning happening.

Jose Decauwer recommends always buying a size too small...

decided to keep the top but send the shorts back - going to try one size larger.

why cant manufacturers all have the same sizing guides?!!!

Because each nation has its own "average" and hence its own set of sizing guidelines.

I have the same problem - dhb stuff from Wiggle is such a nightmare I've stopped ordering it, just too variable in sizes.

Having said that, I have a cheap jersey from Aldi that fits like a glove!

It's just a hill. Get over it.

Shame it don't fit like a jersey eh?!

I range from a Large to a XXXL size in jerseys etc.... Madness.

The Italian sizing is the most interesting... Can't imagine in a small sized jersey there would be enough space for the bodies organs to fit!
