I'm riding this on sunday, looks like it'll be good fun and none too serious. Anyone else going?

You'll miss the Arenberg if you do that, surely?

The ride finishes at a pub (always the best place to finish a ride!) in SE19 and they'll be showing Paris - Roubaix on giant screens, a good afternoon should ensue.

Paris - Roubaix on a giant screen in a pub after a ride sounds like a great day to me

Not a bad ride, signs were a bit inadequate in places and we missed a bit of the pave section as we couldn't find some signs so we went to the next part of the course that we knew and picked the signs from there.
My pace would best be descibed as liesurely (or more accurately as snail paced) as I was riding with my sister-in-law who was riding for the first time in years and found it a bit of an ordeal.
But what the hell, it was an absolutely beautiful day and London is a gorgeous city to ride around and watch, some of hills were quite testing and one in particular, Canonbie Road , was an absolute **** of a climb. And talking of that climb what kind of town planning eejit puts speed humps on an uphill 17/18% climb??????

Rode the classic too. Thought it was a good day with a good crowd. Agree that a few more signs in some sections would have been good but given the small scale of the ride and the people putting it together I think they did a bl00dy good job.

Best bit was smoking 'weird cherry blossom guy' going up Maze Hill and worse bit was missing out on that lovely frame in the raffle. Reckon if I'd turned up 1 minute later I'd have had the winning ticket
