Hi im stuart and a newbie! Had a basic Scott Aspect a few years ago and thought it was about time to get back into MTB again. After weeks of searching for a decent bike for my buck ive ordered this:

Seems very good value! Probably not the best in the world but under £500 im happy!

That's not too bad. Deore and SLX is good stuff, hydro brakes and not entirely terrible forks mean that it's better than other bikes at the same price.

thought i'd slap a pic up of my bike! it arrived today and i am really pleased with it. Picked up a SixSixOne Recon helmet too which i am also impressed with :

Only £480 for the bike delivered and 'mates rates' for the helmet so saved myself a few bob. Off to Llandega on monday to see how it and i perform! :)

Looks like a nice bike. You might want to buy some proper peddles though ;) .

  • look forward to seeing what you think of the cape wrath.not seen any reviews on the newer models.there are five versions of the cape wrath this year ,top of the range is 10 speed but costing around £1200.back in 2007 when i bought mine, it was best £500 bike in the mags and superb value.don t know how they compare today though.
