Did anyone else have trouble getting on the playstation network last night?..

I found out why.. http://www.tomsguide.com/us/PS3-hack-Ja ... 10733.html

The guys that were supporting wikileeks have launched an attack on Sony for the guys that jailbroke the PS3 some time ago.. There launching personal attackes on the CEO's at sony saying they will release personal information about them and their familys..

Apparently they get around tho .. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anonymous_%28group%29

Damnit, proberbly students with nothing better to do.. Opinions?

sometimes the attacks are funny, and in cases justified. however, they are a mix of idealists, hackers and legions of clingon trolls

Yeah, I could get the iplayer and stuff but not the network. Viva revolution.

When they say hack, they mean.. take down the servers via denial of service attacks to prove a point and stop them earning money..

There doing this becuase sony are prosocuting a hacker for jailbreaking the PS3..

  • It makes it so you can play burned or flashed games instead og having to buy each game!

The whole thing is a terrible mix up with this hacker case.

Shame they can't hack it so anyone can watch the damn iplayer. I'm getting fed up waiting on them to bring out this mooted international version.

It's to do with Sony taking a guy in the states to court because he not only hacked the playstation copy protection system, but released details online.
Boohoo, guy broke the law, and they're dragging him to court, SOOOOOO unfair

Just use a UK based VPN and then your able to watch iPlayer because it thinks your in the UK

I know this and considered setting it up on PC but read a couple of months ago that an international version of iplayer was coming out soon so holding off. If it's not done by June/July I'll be indulging
