    morning goons.........

Just woke, the usual 45 mins of running around getting ready for work. Another day of meh! for me again, I am now (after 5 weeks) the head designer and the only designer until new guy starts on the 12th... so busy as feck and taking all the shit when people 'demand' a deadline and I tell them that theres a queue of work with equally important deadlines.....

    Roll on 5:30 tomorrow eve....

    Morning all

Lambing again today, then as soon as I finish it's straight to cannock :D

Last night I discovered I have a serious money crisis, at some point today I will be raiding the shed finding stuff that can be ebayed. Really hope this lambing pays well, I probably should find out what I'm getting payed at some point.

Anyway bike to find and put in car, showers to be had etc. so I'd better get of the interweb and get on with doing stuff

    Meh levels reaching new peaks

Will get nod from HR for today or tomorrow, need to tell 4 friends and colleagues of 7 years that they are being made redundant.

Never had to do this kind of thing before, feel a lil sick tbh, will be seeking solace in red wine and whisky later so I might get random later :(

    Morning freaks.

Another day of spending someone elses money, getting there though it's starting to be a bit of a race against time.

@Mak3m, sucks that does. Rather you than me. I'll join you for random later.

Actually, I seem to be permanently random. Oh well.

    Bacon anyone?

    Love n hugs

    Morning

Week in France is 2 days away, though sat at my desk that feels a long way away.

Bright side managed to fit the singlespeed, wife bike, both kids bikes & the trailer in the boot of the family hack last night :)

mak3m - not nice, I assume from your recent post that they are expecting something like this anyway?
  • Morning.

Off for a few days now. Just getting kids ready for school, some fettling to do later too.

Also just had to order another set of Endcaps for my Superstar grips after losing one in the dark on a ride last week. Stil, could be worse.

    Morning all,

I hate the world a little less today, had a sit down with the mrs last night and told her my conerns, she has apologised and felt mortified as she hadnt even thought about it the way i saw it.

i know she means it when she is sorry, and i got steak for tea, and bacons for breakfast, so i'm in a good mood!

plastic uns or blingy metal ones? I've lost 2 of the plastic ones out the end of my bars on sucessive rides, I was concerned I'd split my opening but on closer inspection it's all intact

Morning all. Spent yesterday evening partially assembling a greenhouse in the garden. It is most excellent - the biggest, most complicated bit of Meccano ever :)

    Have a good one!

    Good Morning Freaks!

Well today's 'gentle' ride into work this morning turned into a mass commuter race of epic proportions. There were 7 or 8 of us racing along from Cogan to central Cardiff. Legs were good and responded better than anticipated. I'm going to pay for it later, but I intend to ride 'gently' home...

Coffee is helping me recharge and I've got a 'meeting' in the canteen shortly. No, seriously, it is an actual meeting. Its just that whilst undertaking the meeting, I may have to consume a bacon roll for 'medical' reasons.

Need to do some further fettling to the NRS later on this evening. I’m not 100% convinced with the KCNC crankset that’s currently fitted. There’s also a few little niggly things that I’m not happy with. I can put up with them for a while, but not 6-7 hours of riding, which is what Sunday’s HONC ride/race will be. If I can’t get it all working nicely and ensure the crank’s not going to fall off (again…), then I’ll be setting up the XTC for HONC (Which is just a change of tyres and the fitting bar ends). I could just swap over the cranks from the XTC to the NRS, but I’d also want to swap chains and cassettes and it all starts getting completely out of hand and I’m struggling for time at the moment.

Might slope off early this afternoon to make a start on this.

    Morning All.

No playing with bikes for me today, my knee started playing up again yesterday. Seemed to happen when I was walking, which was for quite a way as my brother got a bloomin' puncture so had to walk to Halfords for repair equipment (should really have taken some out with me!). Iced it last night, I think a few days rest is in order, hopefully its just a bit of a niggle, will see how it feels in a few days.

Cleaning, lazing around and Bacon filled lunch it is for me today then! Oh and looking at bikes at which I wish I could afford, but that's a daily occurrence anyway (I'm seem to be looking at lots of downhill bikes recently though).

    Morning Freaks!
Today I'm in a good mood. I've had nice chats with my boss, putting the worlds to rights, I told her how just before she took over my department I contemplated joining the army, and that eczema was my downfall. She looked horrified, but I think she has something called 'respect' or somet for me now :D *Please get a payrise!*
Last night I managed to change the gear cable on the blender, but the chain is narked. I think I need a new one and new cassette really. Don't think it can go any shorter, tis a bugger as I want to get out and riiiiiiide.

Today I'm buying a TV for my room, and also, still looking at some road bikes on fleabay. Anyone any idea what Viking bikes are like? Worth the money for a newbie?
It takes as much courage to have tried and failed as it does to have tried and succeeded.

Morning, not working for a few hours yet, there was no bread left so apple pie had to be consumed instead for breakfast.

Now, to attempt some job applications... :(

    Guten abend.

Had an interview this morning, which I rocked at. I then went into Birmingham, and asked a lovely young lady to put a couple of holes through my lip and fill them with rings, and she was much obliging.
