Never personaaly had any problems with Wiggle consistent prompt deliveries; CRC on othert hand I`ve found much more hit and miss; eg 2 items ordered same day, one arrived next day, one the other 4 days later. But CRC are often cheaper eg Mich Pro 3s at £25 :)

if you want it fast, safe, tracked and insured, pay for the delivery service from Wiggle.

If you opt for the free delivery, don't b!tch and moan if it doesn't go the way you want it to.

I can't say I've ever had any problems with Wiggle, just our delightful Royal Mail!

My last order never arrived, I waited 10 days as Wiggle advised, got back in touch with them after calling the local sorting office with no joy. Wiggle refunded me within about an hour of me telling them the item was missing!
I can't really fault that at all :)

If you read my post it states that they took payment and sent no goods. If I hadn't called I'd still be waiting.
Everyone makes mistakes, and they are on the ball most of the time. But when its your order its a big deal.. Other posters have had problems with different suppliers. You pay your money and takes your pick. As things in the market place get tougher price will become all important.
When the Royal Mail network is sold off then its going to be fun.. bitching levels will sky rocket.
Why tidy the house when you can clean your bike?

have had gear ordered from CRC, Wiggle, SJS and it hasn't arrived (I'm sure someoned on the route is slowly building a bike) but all of them and steeped up to either replace or provide a refund.
  • Thanks for all the replies, its always good to hear other peoples opinions, after all thats what a forum is all about. What I want to highlight is not the fact that my order got lost, its the total uninterested impersonal handleing of the matter from Wiggle.

One thing i notice is how difficult it is to get a phone number to contact them. All other cycling sites I use - CRC, Cycles UK, Evans, etc all clearly show a number, but not Wiggle.....I wonder why?

I know there are thousands who use Wiggle and never have a problem - thats great, but I want to highlight what happens if your order doesnt arrive and the way Wiggle handle it. Here is the time line and brief responses I got from them-

24th March - Placed order online.
25th March- Wiggle reply, order processed, allow 2-3 to arrive.

30th March- I Email Wiggle saying nothings arrived
01st April - Wiggle tell me to start knocking neighbours doors and go to local sorting office to look for my things. I email back saying nothing found.

03rd April - Wiggle email me saying I now must wait a full 14 days from order date before they can do anthing as it may be held up in bad weather or there might be post office industrial action!

06th April -14 days from order - I email saying i want action taken. Wiggle reply saying I must wait until tomorrow incase it arrives in the afternoon!
    07th - I email again demanding action.

12th April - Wiggle email saying - it looks like your parcel has been lost (!!!) Do I want them to repost or refund it.

13th April - Wiggle refund me - 23 days after I made my order.

So i refer you back to my opening post - Wiggle (on this occasion) useless.

I still do not see the problem.

Read the terms and conditions of delivery and you'll see this isn't out of the norm.

I had the same and unfortunately it's down to RM for loosing the parcel. Inconvenient I agree but useless I don't think so.
  • Can't see a problem there - clear and regular communication fro Wiggle.

In the past I've found Wiggle very good but recently I've had some problems.

    1. Ordered a pair of shorts which were due in stock in 2-7 days. After this time had elapsed I enquired when they might be in stock and got the rather obtuse reply that the website states 2-7 days. I ended up cancelling the order.

    2. Had to send several emails before getting a sensible response about the sizing of some Sportful shorts.

    3. Returned a pair of faulty sunglasses over a week ago and not heard anything.

Not big problems but the level of service does seem to have dropped off recently. Especially compared to companies like Planet X and Prendas Ciclismo, who will bend over backwards to help you or deliver things so fast it makes your head spin.
  • Always found wiggle very good and been using them for several years and selecting free post. They keep you informed if out of stock, delayed etc and returning is never an issue. I do however also try and support my LBS.

    1. That's because if something isn't in stock - they have to order it in - and the standard amount of time it takes to get it from their supplier is 2-7 days. Sometimes the supplier doesn't have it in stock so it takes longer.

    2. They sell thousands of products and process thousands of orders a day. They put as much info as they can on their website. A bit ambitious to expect them to know the intricate sizing details of every item of clothing they sell - it's not like they go 'to the rack' and check it while you wait on the phone as a small LBS might do.

    3. Do you think the fact that there have been 4 days of holidays might have slowed things down a little?

I summarised the details of my complaint in the post above so it's not the whole story but I did feel a bit aggrieved at the levels of service and posted a (mild) comment on a thread that is after all called 'Wiggle is Useless' . It seems, from a previous post, that this is somehow not the right place for my comments by someone who seems to know my (and everybody else with a gripe about wiggle) case details better than I do.

If certain people don't want to read gripes about Wiggle it's probably best not to read this thread.
