Feet coming off pedals

On my last trip to Laggan Wolftrax I rode the upper red route. On the first run, I did all the jumps with no problems but on my second run through my feet came off the pedals on a couple of the jumps. For some reason I felt more nervous of the jumps the second time round (not been riding long). Fortunately everytime it happened I landed ok. I have a feeling that it was down to my nerves but looking for clarification from more experienced riders.

Probably a bit tired and not taking as much of the shock with your legs/body.I don't do smileys.

This might help.. wouldn't worry about it, bit tired like cooldad said, nerves could have played a part, probably thinking about it too much. I find that once I've decided I want to do something I like to have the attitude that I'm the greatest thing to ever exist ever, that way I know it will go good, then I don't think about it too much and it just seems to work.0 -
Having re-read what I wrote earlier, I didn't mention when my feet were coming off the pedals.. oops, they were coming mid jump not on landing.

I was the same when i started, i thought about better pedals or shoes but ultimately you just learn to set your body up better. I find that if i'm on a hardtail that my legs do tire a lot faster cos they are taking much more of the shock. stick at it!0

Oh i'll definately stick at it. Will prob do a skills course when I move down to Oxfordshire in May to iron out bad habits and learn new skills. I'm thinking of swapping to a full suss in about 6 months time. Should give me time to work on my HT skillsGT Force Carbon Expert

i do the same thing from time to time, remember to jump and tuck the bike not just ride off them.
if you forceably jump and tuck the bike as if a bunny hop then you'll stay on them
i also find it helps to do a bit of a tweak when you do it or a x up.
plus you look cooler0 -

it is 100% down to technique, not shoes or pedals.
Just let the bike "flow" over the jump with you and tuck it up under you, dont just ride at it and think speed will carry you through. It is also confidence......sure skill is a big part of your riding, but once you're confident, you can hit pretty much anything
.....it's also worth learning how to fall properly while you're getting started0 -

That usually happens when the rider tries to get air... but the bike doesn't... try pulling the bike up with you.... let your body absorb it up into you, and then push it down into the landing...I like bikes and stuff0
