homemade energy drink - ingredients?

i know this has come up a few times but i just cant seem to find it.

what do i need to make my own energy drink?

    sugar and a little salt. couldnt be any cheaper. you will hear loads about carbohydrates and electrolytes but its extra hassle for little gain.

    Malodextrin, fructose and proper electrolyte powder is cheap as chips from Myprotein. May as well use the right stuff instead of nearly the right stuff.
    More problems but still living....

    i might consider that given its fairly cheap. i think you're right at that price.
    they have beefy jerky as well. i love that stuff.
