LX 9sp front der. for sram 2x10 drivetrain?

Hi! I bought a new groupset (sram x7, 2x10) but the dealer was not able to supply the direct mount front derailleur for my specialized pitch frame. Would it work if I'd still use my old LX direct mount front der. with the new 2x10 groupset (shifters, rear der, cassette, 28-42 crankset)? This would only be until I get the correct front mech (about 2 weeks).
