Hi, Can anyone please let me know if I am missing something here...
Early december i entered the Marmotte online and got a confirmation email straight away.
On 7th Jan i got an email saying this;
Grand Trophee Inscription/Registration
Bonjour / Hello,
Nous confirmons votre inscription, vous recevrez par E-mail ou courrier toutes les informations concernant votre participation.
We confirm your registration, you will receive by E-mail or post letter all informations about your participation.
Below this message it showed my name address and a dossard number.
What I am worried about is this mail said I will get further information and I have not had anything at all. Should I have had more info by now?
I have heard that you need a medical certificate to be alloed to enter, but I have no details of what to do about this.
I have checked on their online entry list and my name shows.
Any Ideas?
Thanks!

When I did it last year that's all I got- there weren't any other emails.
If your name is on the list and you have got a race number that's all you need i think. They give you info when you register at Alpe d'huez
There is a medical form on the website that you can download. Just get your GP to sign it- should do it for free or at worst a small charge.
you can then email that form to the contact adress for sportcommunication but I think a lot of people just take it with them and show it when they register at alpe d'huez.0 -
ah, welcome to La Marmotte organisation! A bunch of us did this last year. All got different messages/emails at different times.
re. the medical cert. Yeah, if you can just get a doc to sign the simple form, that will do it. Scan it and send it in. But that will not mean that your entry on their system will be updated. take it with you as some us got asked for it up in the village while signing iin, others didnt! alas, there is no answer here.
I printed everything out, sent as much info to them as i could and still got asked for my med cert on the day. My mate, did non on the above and didnt get asked...
I guess it depends on who is handing out your rider number on the day; how well they listened to the briefing and dont forget to haggle for the right size free socks!
enjoy! It's a journey....“Look where you want to go. Not where you are going”0 -
The website and pre race admin is terrible
But the organisation at the event and the event itself is great.
You're in, just rock up with your medical certificate and you'll be fine.0 -
Last year I presented my medical certificate at the registration on Alpe d'Huez the night before the event and that was fine.0
