What do you recommend?

Im so far thinking about either the Boardman ladies road bike, or the Giant Avail 2 Ladies Road Bike.

Anyone got any other good suggestions? Cheers

Unless you need a ladies fit (whatever that may mean) why limit your choice to something which has an obligatory pink bit.

    Just get blokes bike.

Yeah happy to do that too, as she is currently riding a small Giant Mens bike.

+1 just get a bike - everyone always fiddles with saddle position, stem height & length anyway don't they?

This? Bit more than budget, but nice bike, and the small is about the same as a giant small...

  • I've got the Giant Avail Alliance and I love it!

and yes, I did look at blokes bikes too but being 5'2 this was the one that fitted perfectly AND also helped by it being half price LOL

The ladies fit bikes are generally smaller than small men's size bikes so it may be easier for some ladies to get a correct fit.

My wife is 5'4" (30" IL) and her small men's Boardman TC fits her perfectly.

The comments about being able to sell-on a non ladies bike more easily are valid but you may get a good deal on a 2010 Boardman Fi.
