Any HTC owners: needing tech support!

Hi,

Have a brand new HTC Incredible S. Can't seem to load web pages though, even when it is showing that I'm connected. I got an IP conflict message on my Laptop so I think it maybe a setting on my router - blocking the HTC's IP address and failing to allow it to connect???

Someone has mentioned I may need to revert to DHCP for my router. Any ideas how I do this or if this sounds like the problem?

Cheers

Silly question, but have you tried unplugging the router for 30 seconds?

    Hello,

    Yes, have tried this thanks.

I'm a bit further down the line now and have the Router menu up on my laptop.

It is showing the HTC as an allowed client in the DCHP Client List. I've tried to add it in as an allowed MAC address in the Firewall settings with no luck :(

Hmm, I assume you've entered passwords ect. correctly?

Go into Wifi Settings on your phone, press menu, press advanced, and there should be a setting that says Regulatory Domain. Click on that and put it on the highest number, then reboot the phone with wifi ON.

Make sure it says it's connected on the phone in the Wifi settings menu once it has rebooted.
