any suggestions for Stirling / Dunblane area?
Heading south to Dunblane this weekend and looking for suggestions for any easy off road routes in the area - slighlty limited by having two ankle biters in tow, but they're 6 &4 and providing its not too hilly they'll manage anything up to 10k (assuming they're well fed with chocolate etc.
Any suggestions gratefully received.

Kippenrait Glen in Dunblane has tracks and road closed to traffic. Lots of dog walkers out. Should suit wee ones.

I used to live there (Dunblane/Stirling) - The Trossachs were my favourite playground, very close (15-30mins drive depending on where you choose) - loads of forest tracks and very scenic - buy the OS map and explore. Several places have way-markers for walkers and/or bikes, and there's no shortage of carparks at strategic points (all marked on the map).
If you don't want to get in the car and you're staying in Dunblane, it's quite nice biking in the woods following up beside the Allanwater.
Have a lovely time!

Thanks for the suggestions guys.
Obviously this is all subject to getting approval from "the Committee" to put the bikes on the back of the car.
Alternatively I'll end up spending the day dragged around Blair Drummond looking at hairy, flea-bitten wild animals. If I wanted to do that I could have stayed home in Aberdeen and taken a walk up Union Street...............................................................................................

there are loads of trails in the area, mainly in he woods behind Bridge of Allan (including some purpose built stuff which you can easily stumble upon)
The routes are well used, some steep and techncial but there are easy ones around.
If you take Glen Road from dunblane and head up towards the resovior tehn towards dumyat you will see a sign for bike/walking trails, or even if you want sticking to the back roads in the area its nice scenery
Carron Valley which is 20 mins by car has purpose built trails, a fun park with jumps and drops but also a lot of fire road with nice scenery for the kids.
Also local bike shops/cafe's in abundance0 -
Lots of tracks in Blairdrummond Safari Park but don't take the kids on bikes.0
