This is probably a good thing.
There are fewer purchases with more risk. If they offer reliable cars at competitive prices backed by a decent warranty then I'm all for it.
Used car salesmen don't have their reputation for nothing.0 -
I agree. The biggest shysters I've ever dealt with have been used car dealers.0

Going to make the checkout area a bit dangerous!0
-
will be a bit awkward to fit in the trolley, but will be worth it when they slap the BOGOF sign on them0
-
Wonder if they'll do a Value range and Finest range? Will the own brand Farreri 854 be as good as a Ferrari 458?0

As long as you don't mind the giant chavvy blue strip running from the bonnet to the boot.
However, could be good on the old club card points....Has the head wind picked up or the tail wind dropped off???0 -
Ooh yeah, nice blue & white stripe paint job. Classy.
Edit:
Must type quicker!!0 -
Soon we'll be able to ditch our passorts and just have ClubCards. I'm looking forward to Tesco hospitals and schools next. Maybe Tesco Police, "ello ello ello, did you buy that in Asda?".http://www.strathspey.co.uk - Quality Binoculars at a Sensible Price.

You never bought a house then? After having recently purchased a property I'd have to say that estate agents and their associated industry make car dealers seem efficient, intelligent and entirely honourable.0 -
Tesco won't be any better or worse than other used car dealers. Their staff will be drawn from the existing pool of car salesmen as will any other professionals they need to employ.
Margins on cars are such that their prices will be the same as anywhere else and they will have to be as pushy and sharp as their competitors.0 -

Don't go giving Tesco anymore ideas. They already deliver TO your house, bet they would love to sell you the house as well!0 -

IIRC Teco had an Estate Agency adventure a few years ago. Result: FAIL.
That may be because, despite popular opinion, successful estate agency is b****y hard work. The older I get the faster I was0 -

Operating a photocopier, filling out forms and making phone calls should never be classed as hard work0 -
