Whinlatter on Saturday... where was everybody?
Car park looked busy as we set off around 11.30am on Saturday. But we hardly saw a soul all day across both loops and the red route. At Gisburn I seem to be passing or being passed every few hundred yards or so.
Great day out, apart from 'the slog' to the top. But the way back down made it all worth it. Ditto the other trail.
More enjoyable than Grizedale overall - less firetrail and more singletrack. Quite different to Gisburn which seems more 'up-and-down'. Whinlatter seemed more 'big climb followed by big downhill'.
All good fun nontheless.
