Trans Cambrian, anyone done it?
I'm planning on doing the Trans Cambrian sometime soon and was wondering if anyone who has done it has any advice. I have GPS routes, maps and I'm a fairly capable map reader but I hear navigation on this route can be tricky as the paths can just disappear.
Any tips or pointers on where navigation might get tricky would be appreciated.
Thanks

5 of us did it last year, there was only a couple of times that the navigating got tricky (2nd day of 3), we mostly used OS maps but it was handy to have a GPS to double check on a couple of occasions. We never needed to get the compass out. depending on what time of year your doing it make sure you have plenty of day light for the second day as its quite a long one, especially if you throw in a couple of mechanicals.
