Basil Fawlty style eBay rant

I'm a happy go lucky chappy and anyone who knows me will tell you I'm hard to annoy, well today, I'm annoyed and bemused
I sold some animal flipflops I bought for mrs g last year on eBay last week. I picked up the wrong size by mistake and never got round to taking them back so on the bay they went, starting at 99p, they still had their £9.99 price sticker on. This is how I described them in the advert
"Animal "Star" Ladies Flip-flops Size 8uk 42eur
You are bidding for a pair of Animal branded ladies flip-flops in a uk size 8 (eur 42). These are brand new with tags and original card hanger.
These sandals are cream with a burnt orange, brown and yellow flower print and matching orange plastic straps featuring the animal logo. The left sandal has a small black mark on the outside edge of the strap, approximately 1cm long by 2mm wide, barely noticeable but its best to be honest about these things.
These would be a lovely purchase for any woman looking for a comfortable pair of summer beach sandals.
These are listed with no reserve and a low starting price, and will be dispatched within a day of cleared payment by Royal Mail first class post. Returns will only be accepted with regard to the item being faulty
HAPPY BIDDING!!!"
they were posted within 10 mins of being paid for, which took the seller 2 days to getting round to doing and I presume they arrived the next day, this
is the feedback I got...
"looks good but cut up my feet, maybe should have given more information"
WHAT EXTRA INFO DO YOU WANT!!??
I gave the size the fact the straps were plastic and even info about a tiny mark on them!
What should I have come out and measured your feet?
Should I have taken a median width of 100 size 8 feet before comparing against your feet?
Should I have tested a hundred pairs myself first to check that none dig in before kiting these at 99p?
Maybe I could squeeze my size 10 feet in and break them in for you, oh no but then they'd be used
What on earth do people want? If you want to be certain shoes fit you, don't buy someones stuff they are clearing out on fleabay and go to a shop and try them on! It'd not rocket science, granted you'll have to pay the full dividend rather than the £4.20 you paid but at least you'll get more info than the size on the label, oh wait no you won't will you?
Sometimes I can't help wondering about the human race!

I think you may have discovered the whole parallell dimension of shoe shopping that women do. It doesn't matter if something's in the wrong size, as long as it looks right, and when their feet inevitably ache like crazy, it's the shoe's fault, not their for buying the wrong size0

Well that dimension has ruined my morning, not even starbucks and a free copy of the times has cheered me up0
