Howdy folks!

Never realised how much i'd miss a gear til its gone!

Somehow the 3rd gear on the cassette doesnt work, skips from 2nd to 4th! Is this a rear mech, shifter or a problem with the cable?
I'd assume the shifters gone but i have noticed a kink in the cable housing near the shifter but i had new ones put in around 3 months ago by the lbs.

Any (useful) help is appreciated!

If the cable is kinked I'd check that. And the indexing.

Pretty straight isn't good enough - it needs to be straight. Only a couple of mm's between cogs, it doesn't take much to mess the shifting up. If you're not sure take it off and check it on a flat surface.

I lose this gear quite often.

Check you rear der screw is done up tight, that is my normal fix.
Why would I care about 150g of bike weight, I just ate 400g of cookies while reading this?
