Hi all
I'm after building a new bike for the summer.
so obvious starting point it frame and forks.
Front runner is orange elite pro with fox frl forks for 900.

although ive just spotted this on-one, rockshox combo for 900

Any other suggestions?

Two very different set ups! What does your riding involve? The 456 is certainly light, but has much slacker geometry and will take a very long fork.0

The 456 / Rev combo is a hard hitting AM bike. For lightweight XC you're probably better off with the Whippet & Reba:

i spotted the whippet last night. didnt realise the 456 is at little more AM and im not familiar with on-one bikes
im not really into the whole monkey bar, sit up straight setup. i like my bikes to be stiff, quick and climb like a goat.
currenlty ride an orange evo4 with skarebs, and have an old orange e2 with manitou 4(yes i like oranges)
that whippet is deffo a front runner at the min.
i was gonn build my own, i spent an hour on their website building custom bikes and they just dont offer quite enough options. but their prices make it hard to resist.0
