XT Hubs service

Noticed yesterday that both of my Shimano XT Hubs are not running too smoothy. The rear one has very slight play and the front one sounds like it needs a clean and a dollop of grease.
I am a bit of a turd when it comes to fettling, so phoned Evans cycles who wants £17.50 per hub to service!
Seems a little steep to me....so am almost tempted to have a go myself. Have seen the Youtube videos and looked online. Seems reasonably simple....but I usually find these things to be a lot more complex than they first appear...
Any thoughts? Or should I just let the pros do it for me?

if they are XT M775 hubs, then they use bits that are very different to any other shimano hub ( rear hub)
not an issue, but the bearings are of a different size, on my rear hub, it only had one plastic "cage" to hold the bearings, making it very hard to rebuild the hub, so i purchased another for the other side
