Am after getting my first lid for riding cross country and roads and other bits and pieces. Don't want to pay loads of money but want a decent one want to try a few for the best fit but any suggestions would be great.
Also after padded shorts and knee and shin pads any suggestions would be a big help as there is so much about.

Thanks
Andrew

Try them on, fit is most important. I'm lucky my head is Bell shaped (not bellend before Yeehaa gets smart) and £20 one works for me. Last one did it's job when I decided to dive into the dirt. Much pain and suffering, but my head was fine.
I don't use pads, but only ride xc.
Depends on the bits and pieces I suppose.
A camelbak type thing is useful.
    I don't do smileys.
