i have 2010 slr's. Very pleased with them and ive ridden quite a few deep dish wheels. Wind from side has been fine, even here on the north sea coast of holland where it simply doesnt stop. To be honest if its flat there is no need to go beyond the sl's which were/are a lot cheaper, but on in the rolling ardennes down the road where some classics are held the ligher versions help. I still ride my regular wheels in the alps though...a few grams lighter and aero is meaningless when im too scared to go faster than circa 80-90kph anyway down hill.

Just got some Reynolds attacks. Took them for a quick spin today, braking with the Reynolds blues is as good as some aluminium wheels but not as good as my da cl24s which are fantastic. Much better than I expected it has to be said.

I've got some other 42mm aero wheels which are about 1.75kg. These attacks feel much lighter on the bike. Comfort levels feel good. Gonna do London to Brighton on them tomorrow and train on them for a couple of weeks to see how practical they are for everydayish use.

Will report back after tomorrows ride.

If you can get the 2011 Mavic SLR's with Exalith then  they are a lovely looking set of wheels. If i had the cash i totally would!

Was looking at the Citec 6000s - quite pricey but what reviews I've seen look pretty good. Aluminium braking surface but quite light.

it's a hard life if you don't weaken.

If I was getting Carbon Clinchers I'd go for Reynolds. I'd have Assault front and Strike rear...
