Hi
i snapped my chain the other day (luckily not too far away from my house, i didnt have the tools to repair it on me!).
I just removed the broken link and put it back on as i didnt have any spares. If anything it runs a bit smoother than it did before! will running a slightly shorter chain cause any problems?

Only if it's too short but generally they are a little long from the factory0

while off your bike, try switching (gently) to big big.
See how stretched out the deraliur is.
If it cannot get in to that combination (or others) just remember not to try and shift to them on the trail or your rear der will get bent/removed.Why would I care about 150g of bike weight, I just ate 400g of cookies while reading this?0
