+1 You took the words right out of my mouth. He's turned into a right old primadonna.0 -
i don't liek haussler one bit, for the reasons mentioned above, but he didn't seem too bad in that video.
whats with all the inter team rivalry they're pushing? team members saying how together they are and how they'll sacrifice everything, then they show the 3 "leaders" looking at each other. most importantly what does vaughters look like? what a douche!"Unfortunately these days a lot of people don’t understand the real quality of a bike" Ernesto Colnago0 -
given all of the firepower at vaughters disposal you'd think they might pull a few big wins out of the bag yet garmin slipstream / cervelo seem to consisistently get it wrong. either they're one of the unlickiest teams in the world or tactically lacking...0

I quite like Haussler. Tells it straight down the line, very honest and open. Seems like a good laugh too.
As for G-C not getting any big wins - true no big-uns so far but a whole stack of others. Meyer TDU, Farrar various, Haussler various.
I think Thor is saving himself for this week, P-R in particular and Haussler seems to have dipped off compared to the beginning of the season. Farrar just doesn't have it when it really counts. Wins so many smaller races/stages but always seems 2nd, 3rd best when it really counts.
This time next week they could have RVV and P-R in the bag. Who knows. People are so fickle.0 -
Victory tomorrow or next Sunday means you have to attack somewhere before the final few kms - something that Thor doesn't appear to have been practising much - he's nearly as bad at wheel sucking as Pozzato.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

Haussler's not a bad bloke, very approachable and easy-going (unlike certain other pros mentioned in this thread). If you had a finite sporting career and had one whole season of it wrecked you too would be entitled to a "whinge." Fact is certain other pros mentioned in this thread whinge a heck of a lot more than HH.-- Dirk Hofman Motorhomes --0

Haussler will always be known for being the bloke who took a flyer in San Remo and got spectacularly pipped on the line by the most incredible sprint ever seen. he had such a gap and Cavendish couldnt possibly close it. only he did. I suspect thats why he is such a whinging t0sser.
even if he wins Ronde today he'll never shake the san remo monkey,0 -

Certain other pros win a lot more than him too! :P
I'm reading Cav's book ATM, I know he's a mouthy little @rse, but he's like me, his heart is on his sleeve and I like that. He's very funny when he's not having a strop as well!
In Haussler's defence, his break away stage win at the 2009 TdF was superb, and I was very pleased for him. He needs to move on though and leave the past in the past.0
