Yeah - another one!

apologies for the crap pics - better ones to follow!

Bike arrived at my parents on monday but been away all week and just unpacked it!!

-Need to work out how to set up the forks properly (got free shock pump with bike) - need to do lots of reading with regards this bit!!
-Set brake levers properly
-It's currently naked of any decals - got some white 456 and on-one decals but quiet like the naked carbon look. Thoughts??
-A couple more red bits of bling to follow - seatcollar and QR levers
-Switch my seat over (SDG Bel Air)

Also weights in at around 11.9kg :D(using bathroom scales)

Really nice bikes, love the frames. I think it could do with a few decals myself though but it depends how you like it really. Pictures don't do justice to carbon frames.

Nice bike, odd pictures though. The shallow depth of field makes me think "SLR", but everything's hazy and defocussed. Very strange. Have you spilt something on your lens?

Lol - SLR it was but never reset the ISO and various other settings from some other pictures I took the other day.

Will get some better pictures tomorrow/sunday hopefully to do it justice!

    I'm in love!!!

    What a bike!!!:D:D

She's still naked of any decals

A rubbish picture from my b/berry - new red hope seat clamp on.

    img00097201104081555.jpg

Managed to get away from work today and headed out for an hour.

First thing I forgot - bed the brakes in:eek::eek: Had a scary moment about 100m from my car when I went for the brakes and there was not much stopping power there!

Anyway - main things - the suspension is LUSH!!! soaks up the bumps/roots/steps etc very very well. Really nice and had loads of confidence despite 1st ride out to bounce over/down stuff that i would normally hesitate to take on. Very impressed.

Climbs really well - and overall very impressed and pleased with it.

initial suspension settings can be a nightmare but seem not to far away with initial start. The settings on the forks for rider weight etc seem MILES out!- After getting back I used about 75/80% of the available suspension (used about 110/120mm of 150mm available) so I guess I could let a touch more out but I was very happy with it today and will leave it as is for now.

    Chuffed to bits!

also I think i need some new grips - those ones on my bike don't feel great and look a bit cheap.

I found the same with the Oury grips. Look a bit odd being so short and always look on the wrong way because of the flange on the outer end.

Got to recommend the ODI rogues, expensive but worth it for the extra ventilation. Black with red lock-ons for your build ;) Lizard Skins also do nice customised grips with the same lock-ons. Think they have one or two in red.

Good to hear you're loving the bike as much as me. It even feels like a blast just flinging it around urban areas, but out on the trail it's a monster!

Well after a day out round the red route @ Glentress, and messing about in the skills park - I can safely say what a great bike it is.

Stood up to everything yesterday very well, just the rider (me) that was lacking!!

New grips are on - pics to come after she gets a wash!

Look nice, quite angular on the bends. Is there any diff in width/rise etc from your original bars or was it just for the weight saving? Give us a ride report :)

I thought about the kevlar wrapped version for mine but decided to stick with the gold ano..

they are supposed to be 720mm versus 680mm of the old ones - however after a quick side by side - i can;t see much difference in length!

They are less rise on them as I didn;t like the original ones being quite high.

Will let you know how they ride if this wind and rain ever stops in Scotland!!
