my gear shifter broke yesterday so i couldn't ride to work, now 2 YES TWO of my suspension springs have broken on my car and now i need 2 new tyres aswell :x :x

Let that be a lesson for you then! When your bike is broken, taking your car on the MTB trails is a silly idea.0

FYI the fella who bought them is very happy with his functioning shifters0 -
I crashed my bike once a few months ago (the same bike with the dust cap problem) It bent the derailleur bracket in towards the wheel so 7th gear was 6th, 6th was 5th and so on, A week later I went down a dip and accidentally changed down to 1st and the derailleur got caught in the spokes, snapped it clean off, had to send it into the shop earlier than I expected. I used my other bike when it was away.
Cost me all of 14 quid to get a new Shimano fitted to it, at least I got the rear disks upgraded to hydraulic ones while they were at it. Not all things turn out bad."Youth's a mask, but it don't last
