Adjusting SRAM X4 shifters?

I want to adjust the thumb lever on my rear shifter. When I try to push it to jump down multiple gears, I have to press it so far back to drop maximum gears its not possible whilst holding the handlebars. Is there any way to alter this, or tighten it up so I don't have to push the lever so far to drop through the gears?

Hope that makes some sort of sense

try repositioning it on the bars.

    But no there is not.

With Nick, moving the shifter closer to the grips, or rotating it to move the static point closer will help, otherwise that's your lot!
