I will sell my bike on ebay.

So i have narrowed the choice down to 3 bikes.

All bikes around the £650 mark the Cannondale being £679 at pauls cycles. The advantage of the other two is that they can be purchased from my lbs, and i can get the Mongoose for £620.

Any opinions appreciated.

Can't go far wrong with a rockhopper, rode on for a day in the peaks last year, really nice.

My only concern with the Rockhopper is the 80mm fork. Also correct me if i'm wrong but the spec on the Mongoose is slightly better and after talking to my lbs this morning, i can have the goose for £600.
My head says to buy the Mongoose, but my heart says the Rockhopper. Also lets not forget the Cannondale trail sl 2.

Oh decisions decisions!!

If you have tried the mongoose, and it fits, then I'd get it. Good spec.

Just found this Mongoose for £500. Is it a good buy? Seems a decent spec.

No. Thats the only problem. I'm just wondering if the geometry is much different to the Tyax Super as the 16" frame in this was fine.

Just checked the geometry of both bikes and the geometry is almost identical so the 16" should be fine.

What are Hayes Stroker disc brakes like? Are they as good as the tektro brakes on the Tyax?

Well i've ordered the Mongoose Amasa Super. Just couldnt find another bike with that spec for £500. It had to be done.

Ideally would have liked to buy from my local bike shop but it was just too tempting.
