ultegra sl RD and cassette compatability

Can someone let me know if an Ultegra SL rear mech (10 speed) is compatable with all cassette ratios...someone said that it won't work with an 11 tooth sprocket on a 10 speed cassette and to stick to 12 as the smallest. With the large array of gearing available for raod bikes I would like to know if this is correct...just looking around for a cassette at the moment and don't want to make a costly mistake...
Thanks

works fine with an 11T sprocket.

you can also buy ultegra SL cassettes with 11T

but the largest cog is 28 or 27 depending on the version.

    why wouldn't it work with a 11t ?

There are reasons why big sprockets would be a problem, as the top jockey might rub, but there are no logical reasons why a small sprocket wouldn't work.
