Lunghurt

I've been training properly since about this time last year. At least one 70+ mile ride a week (usually Sunday) and a couple of hard 30-40 milers or some intervals on the turbo, Tuesday and Thursday.

My legs no longer hurt when I push myself harder, but my lungs really really hurt, in fact my entire chest really hurts. Is this normal? Obviously lungs & heart are working really hard, but I wasn't expecting to feel like I'm going to have a heart attack every time I train. I actually enjoy it when my legs hurt, and I feel safe in the knowledge that nobody died from having sore muscles. Chest pains on the other hand....

    No.

you might get pursuiter's cough after a hard interval session but lungs shouldn't really hurt. at least not for long after a session.

i would get it checked out.
