Looking to get a secteur comp frameset.
After reading specs for the bike it states that the frame is made of E5 Alu.
After looking at the actual pics of the bike i swear it has written on the frame A1 - on the seat tube (Evans website to name a few)
Any advice on whether it is A1 or E5 would be much appriciated.
Spesh website states that it is E5 but again has A1 on the frame!
Arrrrgh! HELP ME!

I think you will find that the base Secteur (up to and including the Elite) is an A1 alu frame whereas the Comp version is E5 alu, which is a mixture of carbon for the seatstays (with zertz inserts) and alu for the rest. Both frames have exactly the same geo, which is based on the Roubaix:

Secteur comp is E5. I think it has carbon seatstays too, last years' did.0

That's great... but...
If you click on your link, go to picture and zoom in...
Why does it say 'A1 Aluminium' on frame?
Which is why i am confused?0 -
The 2011 Secteur Comp has an E5 frame, every other model is A1.
The 2011 Allez Comp and Elite have an E5 frame, all other models are A1 frames.Specialized Enduro SL Pro Carbon
